I am an ordained United Methodist pastor, currently serving at Grace UMC in Greensboro, NC. I have a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and recently completed my Doctor of Ministry at United Theological Seminary. In terms of interests, I enjoy exploring both ancient faith and contemporary pop culture with a wide variety of people. As the Bible tells us, iron sharpens iron. Having come out of fundamentalism, I appreciate having friends and interlocutors with a wide variety of perspectives. I am an avid reader and constant student, but also a teacher, serving as an adjunct instructor at a local college, where I teach Christian ethics.

My writing has appeared in online outlets. I look forward to writing for Firebrand in the coming months. Additionally, I have chapters on Game of Thrones and Batman releasing in the near future as part of the Theology and Pop Culture Series from Fortress Press/Lexington Books.
